Residents along Ibusa junction were engulfed in grief following the death of Nigerian actors while on the river scene. The Nigerian veteran actor Junior Pope Odonwodo alongside other unidentified actors got drawn while shooting in Asaba.
The veteran actor died in the river behind St Joseph’s catholic church Asaba. It was reported that the late actor was on a river shoot without a jacket and was unable to survive at the time St Joseph’s rescue team and other nearby brought him out from the river.
Filmmaker Sam Olatunji, who noted that the actor died with three others after their boat capsized. Also, at the time of filling this report, it was gathered that the sound recorder and other actors are still in the river and may not be alive.
The 39years old multi award winner and content creator was survived by four children and a wife. Meanwhile, the diseased is yet to be taken to the mutuary or his family house following arguments on where his body should be taken to.
